so, i finally have gone to a davy jones concert, and let me just say right away that it was amazing!!! davy has as much energy
and charm as he did in the 60s, in fact, he seems like he is exactly the same person as he was then, he has the same mannerisms
and the same voice and he still does the davy dance!!!!!!! he told a bunch of really funny jokes about the monkees, like saying
"if you don't sing along, you'll be entered in the micky dolenz look-alike contest!" he did a bit of slapstick type
stuff, too. his setlist was mostly monkees material (he sang daydream believer, i'm a believer [twice, once for his encore],
valleri, a little bit me, a little bit you, papa gene's blues, not your steppin stone, no time, and i feel like there was
more but i dont really remember it all) as well as "girl" from when he was on the brady bunch and "consider
yourself" from oliver! he danced all around the stage throughout the entire concert and stayed afterwards to do autographs
for those of us who stayed late. i highly reccommend seeing davy in concert, and really if you like the monkees you will love
davy's concerts!
