
Davy was born on Dec 30, 1945 to his parents, Harry and Doris Jones. He was the youngest member of his family with three older
sisters (Hazel, Beryl, and Linda [Lynda?]). At the age of fourteen, Davy lost his mother to emphysema. He quit school and
took up jockeying through a friend of his sister. He was an apprentice jockey for a while before trying his hand at theatre.
He starred as the Artful Dodger in Oliver! and recieved a Tony award nomination for his portrayal of the role. He then put
out a solo record. Soon after, he auditioned for the Monkees and was the first to be chosen. He married Linda Haines in dec
of 1967. They had their first child in 1968, Thalia. Since the Monkees, Davy has had a succesful career in music, done several
roles on television, was part of Dolenz, Jones, Boyce and Hart, and has done many theatrical roles, including a reprisal of
the role of the Artful Dodger, then later Fagin in Oliver!. He has had 3 daughters since Thalia: Sarah, Jessica, and Annabel
as well as a second marriage to Anita. He is currently horse racing and doing appearances on the telly occaisonally.
